What follows are a series of images taken of three hanging paper sculptures designed by internationally renowned paper artist Kyoko Ibe, and constructed by yours truly, for the Dance Department at the University of Illinois. The sculptures appeard in White Out: February Dance, where a modern dance piece was choreographed around them. The sculptures were constructed out of a special silk paper developed by Kyoko Ibe. The material is made from silk and Washi fiber, which allows each section to hang like fabric, but retain the thinness of paper.
